Many thanks to those who attended our recent conference “Public services: from austerity to transformation” which was kindly sponsored by Accenture.
The day was a great success and was opened by International expert Professor Hans Rosling who revealed our stark lack of knowledge about global trends and encouraged policymakers to make better use of data and analytics.
The conference also featured a keynote speech from Minister for the Cabinet Office, The Rt Hon Matthew Hancock MP, who outlined the Government’s agenda for reform over this Parliament.
Panellists highlighted four key approaches as essential for driving public service transformation:
2. data-driven policy making;
3. experimenting to understand what works; and
4. cross-departmental and cross-sector collaboration.
We are delighted to be able to share with you a short summary which brings together these key themes from the conference.
