Thomas Cawston comments on GP charging in The Daily Telegraph

The Daily Telegraph, Thomas Cawston

In a recent article in The Daily Telegraph, Reform’s Research Director, Thomas Cawston argues how the NHS could benefit from payments for GP visits.

The charges could raise extra revenue for the NHS and thus create better services for patients. Thomas Cawston is quoted:

“We are living in extraordinary times and the NHS facing a funding gap of more than £30bn over the next decade. There is a still a national deficit and looking to the taxpayer for extra funding for the NHS would put undue pressure on other public services including schools.”

“All options need to be on the table to raise additional revenue for the NHS and fund greater acccess for patients.”
