The Times published an article Pay governors to improve academies, detailing the findings of Reform’s recent report, Academy chains unlocked. The article highlights Reform‘s recommendations that revenue funding for academies should be allocated to the chain for them to dispense as they see fit, and that schools and academies should be able to pay local governors.

Amy Finch, ‎Research Manager and Head of Education at Reform, said: “The government could do better by pooling the many funding streams, which would encourage the best chains to take on schools in difficulties.”
