Director Andrew Haldenby wrote a comment piece in Prospect as part of a wider article on reactions to the Chancellor’s Budget announcement.

In it, he argued that the Budget has not changed the direction of the Government’s welfare reforms. Efforts are being made to overcome barriers to employment due to ill health and disability, by offering new support for those suffering from mental health conditions and for young disabled people. However, the benefits of the new lifetime ISA, intended to encourage saving, remains to be seen.
