Reform Deputy Director Richard Harries was quoted in an article about Business Secretary Sajid Javid’s pledge to cut red tape by £10 billion before 2020.

Drawing on Reform research from last year which cast doubt on the Coalition Government’s progress on deregulation, Richard said: “When you set the rules, you get to tweak them … If [the government is] going to measure it more honestly they will find it very hard indeed to hit that [£10bn] target.”
