Reform is delighted to hold its first major event on the 2015 Spending Review, with speakers including Lord (Gus) O’Donnell, Steve Reed OBE MP and Bernard Jenkin MP.
The autumn Spending Review is the Government’s most important opportunity to drive better performance and value for public spending and public services. On 23 June, Reform will launch its first paper on the Spending Review which provides radical policy recommendations on each of the big spending areas of government. Lord O’Donnell, the former Cabinet Secretary, will provide his latest thinking on what the new Government has called a “one nation” approach, combining sustainable public finances and greater opportunity. Steve Reed MP, Shadow Home Affairs Minister and former leader of Lambeth Council, will explain how to devolve public service delivery. Bernard Jenkin MP, Chair of the Public Administration Select Committee, will describe how central government can improve policy by taking a long term, strategic view.
