Reform 2015 Annual Conference

We are delighted that John Manzoni, Chief Executive of the Civil Service, will deliver the keynote address at Reform’s Annual Conference 2015. The conference will bring together around 200 thinkers on public sector reform, including parliamentarians, officials, practitioners, academics and journalists.

The Spending Review framework published last month set a clear direction of travel for public policy: more devolution, innovation and integration of public services to achieve fiscal consolidation by 2019-20. This presents both an opportunity and challenge for the public sector. While improving productivity will not always be easy, regional innovation, enhanced digitisation, and a redesigned State offer huge potential gains for the public service user. With the right policy framework, these areas of focus could help deliver sustainable and inclusive wellbeing for all.

The next five years require public services to find new paths for delivering greater productivity and improved outcomes. Reform’s annual conference presents a timely opportunity to discuss which paths the public sector should take, and how it should navigate them.
