The Coalition Government has implemented extensive reforms to the assessment and testing of pupils. Alongside the introduction of the new National Curriculum, schools are no longer required to assess pupils’ progress against “levels”. Reform is delighted that Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Reform, will deliver a speech on the future of assessment. The Minister will discuss the benefits of moving away from the previous approach to assessment and will consider how examples of best practice may be shared as schools develop their own assessment schemes.
The event will bring together a group of high-level guests from across the education debate to hear the Minister’s latest thinking and to take part in a question and answer session following the speech.
