Getting the most out of the Single Financial Guidance Body: making financial inclusion a priority

Reform was delighted that Guy Opperman MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Pensions and Financial Inclusion led this roundtable exploring ‘Getting the most out of the Single Financial Guidance Body: making financial inclusion a priority’.

The Government’s announcement of a Single Financial Guidance Body will offer greater efficiency for those looking for financial support. By having one public guidance body, it can stop overlapping or conflicting advice being offered and means the public can find all the answers it needs in one place.

However, it is important to ensure that the right information is still easily accessible by all sections of the public. For example, older people or the underrepresented more generally, may find it more difficult to access information online or through telephone services. Making sure financial inclusion becomes a reality is important, especially as the merger takes place, to make sure no-one falls through the cracks.

This event  took place on Thursday 30 November at 11.30 for 11.45- 13.00 and was held in partnership with Age UK.
