Big Data: getting the framework right

Reform convened a private policy roundtable on ‘Big Data: getting the framework right’, led by Paul Maltby, Director of Data at the Government Digital Service (GDS).

In this discussion, attendees agreed that better data utilisation will significantly improve public services, including health, criminal justice and emergency services and should continue to be a key theme in public service reform. It was also noted that the government needs to do more to gain public support and highlight the benefits of improved data utilisation. For example, better data utilisation by the police would improve public safety.

This event was conducted under the Chatham House Rule and was held in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
