Luke Heselwood

Research Assistant

I joined Reform in July 2017 as a Research Assistant. My aim is to improve my research skills and gain invaluable experience in the world of public policy. I have a particular interest in education reform and I am looking forward to new challenges in other research areas.

Before joining Reform, I completed a PhD at the University of Manchester in Chinese studies. This was a history-based PhD, which demonstrated the impact of Anglo-Chinese relations on British liberal thought in the mid-nineteenth century. I have taught numerous courses within Manchester’s history department and, in addition, have worked as a research and editorial assistant on numerous projects. In early 2017, I founded a political journal that aimed to ensure evidence-based commentary on current affairs.
